carribean coast
Hi Marty & everyone else
As asked if I had any news about the surf in Colombia I would send some information. I recently made a trip to the Carribean coast to a city called Cartagena. Even though it is a sea the Carribean has some good surfing potential. At the rivermouth in a suburb called Bocagrande I noticed a conisistent wave brought from the consistent winds that were around at the time. They were ankle snappers but hey sometimes in summer we surf waves like that & when you're desperate for surf anything will do.
Anyway, my last surf was about 4 months ago in the south of Portugal in a state called the Algarve. It was on the west coast of Algarve. Not the best coast for waves in Portugal as normally they have a full swell window just like Australia but the Algarve is a little protected. Taking that into account I got a few good 5ft sessions before returning back to the Med coast of Spain. Imagine what the swell would have been like at Supertubes.
